Department of Mathematical Analysis and Probability Theory

БулдигінаOn the 15-th of April 2013 to the winners of the Open Mathematical Olympiad of NTU "KPI", which is the first round of All-Ukrainian Mathematical Olympiad for students of higher educational establishments of Ukraine, the Professor V. Buldygin prizes and honored diplomas were awarded for the first time. The chairman of organizing committee of mathematical competition, the Vice Rector of NTU "KPI", prof. Y. Yakymenko presented awards to winners, congratulated them and wished a new take-offs and success in future competitions and scientific work. During the awarding procedure N. Shevchenko thanked the heads of the workshop "Unusual and competitive problems of algebra and analysis", which takes place at the department of mathematical analysis and probability theory, the assistant professors A.B. Ilienko and I.V. Orlovskyi. Another prizewinner W. Michailovskyi emphasized the important role of mathematical competitions in mastering the basics of science. High symbolic was the date of event, since the awarding was held on the birthday of the great mathematician Leonhard Euler.

The first laureates of the Professor V. Buldygin prizes became students of the Institute of Applied System Analysis (IASA) W. Michailovskyi and K. Moravetska, who were awarded with honored diplomas and commemorative medals. Winners were warmly welcomed by N.O. Pidsuha, the widow of prof. V. Buldygin.
