The conference was organized by a joint working group of the Institute of Number Theory and Probability Theory (University of Ulm) and Department of Mathematical Analysis and Probability Theory (NTUU "KPI") under the supervision of prof. Stadtmueller and prof. Klesov. The conference summed up the first stage of the joint research project supported by the DFG (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft) and the State Fund for Fundamental Researches of Ukraine.

The conference was opened by prof. Stadtmueller, Vice-Rector of the University of Ulm.

There were two Plenary Lectures during the workshop delivered by prof. Steinebach and prof. Klesov.
