Continuing the line of workshops held in
Cologne 2010, Paderborn 2011, Kyiv 2011, Ulm 2012, and Uppsala 2013,
the Department of Mathematical Analysis and Probability Theory of
the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" (KPI),
organizes an
INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON LIMIT THEOREMS IN PROBABILITY THEORY, NUMBER THEORY, AND MATHEMATICAL STATISTICS
to be held in Kyiv, Ukraine, on October 10-11, 2016.
The venue of the workshop is the National Technical University of Ukraine "KPI".
By this workshop, we would like to commemorate the 70-th birthday of late Professor Valery V. Buldygin, one of the organizers of the previous workshops, who passed away in 2012.
The scientific scope of the workshop is rather broad including limit theorems in probability theory, mathematical statistics, number theory, and theory of functions.
Many colleagues and collaborators of Professor Buldygin, as well as his former PhD students have already confirmed their participation in the workshop.
A SATELLITE MEETING OF YOUNG STATISTICIANS
The whole day of October 12 will be devoted to scientific sessions bringing together young Ukrainian probabilists and statisticians and the workshop participants. The idea is to talk about the state-of-art in the workshop’s areas and challenging theoretical and applied problems therein. Please note this option when planning your trip to Kyiv.
