FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT

During September 26-30, 2011 the workshop

Functional Methods in Probability Theory
and Probabilistic Number Theory

will be held in Kiev, Ukraine.

This event is a continuation of two workshops in Cologne, cf.

and Paderborn, cf.

http://www2.math.uni-paderborn.de/ags/ag-indlekofer/workshop.html

held in January 2010 and January 2011, respectively.
In particular, we plan to have invited talks of 30 minutes,
and the workshop will take place in the afternoon every day.

We also intend to have one additional day when young scientists
from both countries, Germany and Ukraine, will deliver talks on their
research topics.

ACCOMODATION
There are three suggestions concerning your accommodation in Kiev:

1. There are many hotels in Kiev and we will provide a list
and short descriptions of them, so that you may choose and book
yourself a hotel accommodation for you.

2. The Guest House of the University provides fully equipped flats
in a small building next to the main building of the University.
The number of rooms there is very limited and usually one has to
be well in advance with booking a room there.

3. We have good experience from a cooperation with a flat renting
company in Kiev which offers a variety of nice flats in the center
of the city. They have several offers at a reasonable price, see

In fact, we would like to suggest to you to choose the third possibility
and then, after agreeing with you upon your choice, we will arrange
everything with that company concerning your accommodation in Kiev.

Please let us know about your arrival and departure time to Kiev
as soon as you will book your flight to Kiev
