How to get there
You arrive to the metro station “Politechnicheskaya”,
then you walk 10 min. to the building 7 of the University
How to get to the city from the airport
There is a shuttle bus running from the terminal C of the airport to the city.
One can leave the bus at the metro station “Harkivska” (20 min. from the airport; 25 HRN) and further go by metro (costs 2 HRN; any direction). We advise you nevertheless to take a taxi from the airport, this costs 300 HRN. We will try to meet you at the airport and assist to get to your accommodation from the airport.

Currency
Ukrainian currency is called hryvnya (HRN).
The current exchange rate is 1€=11.3HRN.
Please note that Ukrainian hryvnia is the only currency you can pay with. You can change money at the airport, however, the rates are not the best there. So you are advised to change only a small amount at the airport for transportation; in the city centre you will be able to change at a much better rate (there are lots of exchange offices all around the city).
Language
In Kiev, the directions are rarely indicated in English. However, some people (especially younger ones) speak English besides Russian and Ukrainian, they will gladly help you if you need.
Time
Ukrainian time is GMT +3 or CET (Central European Time) +1.
Credit cards
You can withdraw money from cashing machines that can be found in the University, for example. Many more machines are spread throughout the city. However using credit cards is not very popular in Ukraine.
Guest house of the University
The guest house of the University has 8 fully equipped rooms with kitchens. One can prepare a breakfast there or otherwise one can order a breakfast in a building close to the guest house. We can also try to arrange breakfast for you to be served in a special room of the guest house.

c) you will choose a hotel in Kiev yourself but want to have a list of hotels nearby the venue of the conference
- If you are in the guest house, would you like to prepare yourself a breakfast or would you like to have it served in a special room for an extra price?
- Date and time of your arrival and departure
